Comparative shooting testing of 9 mm Luger 18.03.2014

In February 2014 the specialists of JSC "Novosibirsk cartridge plant" have carried out the comparative shooting testing as the planning action concerning the production quality improvement. Shootings were carried out at Check-Out Test station, certified by Federal Service of Accreditation (Rosakkreditatziya).

During the testing it was made the quality estimation of our own products including pistol cartridges caliber 9 mm Luger for civil (sport and hunting) ammo with bimetal case and FMJ bullet (bullet weight 8 g). As an "opponent" it was used the analogous product of Germany production.

At testing it was used:

1. Pistol cartridges caliber 9 mm Luger for civil (sport and hunting) ammo with bimetal case and FMJ bullet, jacket - bimetal (bullet weight 8 g) (manufactured by JSC "Novosibirsk Cartridge Plant", Russia, Novosibirsk).

2. Pistol cartridges 9 mm Luger with brass case and FMJ bullet, jacket - bimetal (bullet weight 8 g) (manufactured in Germany).

3. Ballistic barrel 9 mm Luger (manufactured in Czechia).

4. Pistol MP-446 (Viking) (manufactured by OSC "Izhevsk mechanical plant", Russia, Izhevsk).

5. Control and measuring instrument.

Before testing the control measurements were made: bullet extraction force, bullet weight and powder charge mass.

Bullet velocity, powder gas pressure and the accuracy were measured with ballistic barrel 9 mm Luger (manufactured in Czechia) using the ballistic complex Prototypa (manufactured in Czechia).

The best series

The testing for weapon reliability and case solidity was carried out as well. For this parameter estimation it was used the pistol, manufactured by OSC "Izhevsk mechanical plant" MP-446 (Viking).

Analyzing the comparative shooting results of pistol cartridges 9 mm Luger for civil (sport and hunting) ammo with bimetal case and bullet FMJ (bullet weight 8 g) and pistol cartridges 9 mm Luger FMJ manufactured in Germany, it is made the conclusion about the close control and shooting results of pistol cartridges manufactured by JSC "Novosibirsk Cartridge Plant", Novosibirsk and the similar cartridges manufactured by European producer (Germany).
